The diversity of culture, ethnicity, race, language and even religion in Indonesia is a gift that will add flavor to people's lives. However, through religious diversity, this nation often experiences conflicts with religious backgrounds. Conflict that continues to be allowed will cause huge losses to the country and even cause divisions. Religious moderation exists as a way to achieve a just and balanced religious life in society. If everyone can respect each other then living in harmony and peace can be achieved. Therefore, this article attempts to teach how to live a moderate life in accordance with the teachings of Jesus contained in the Gospels. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods through literature study. The results of this research look at how the teachings in the Bible make people live moderately in the nation and state. Firstly, it is necessary to properly understand that the Gospels are basically good news; secondly, looking at the teachings taught by Jesus contained in the Gospels for living a moderate life; third, contextualizing these teachings into the way of life of the nation and state. So someone doesn't need to be afraid to live a moderate life because by living a moderate life we have also done what Jesus taught.
