KEPEMIMPINAN HAMBA MENURUT MARKUS 10: 45 SEBAGAI MODEL PELAYANAN DALAM TEOLOGI KRISTEN

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept of servant leadership as presented in Mark 10:45—viewing it as a model of ministry within Christian theology—and to examine its implications for contemporary church ministry. The research employs a qualitative method utilizing a library research approach. Data were gathered through an examination of the Bible—specifically Mark 10:45—alongside relevant theological texts, biblical commentaries, and scholarly articles. Content analysis was used to interpret the theological meaning of the text and relate it to the practice of church ministry. The findings indicate that servant leadership is a leadership paradigm centered on love, humility, sacrifice, and responsibility, as exemplified by Jesus Christ. This concept serves not only as a theological foundation for church leadership but also as a relevant model for building leader character, strengthening pastoral ministry, fostering a collaborative culture of service, and enhancing the effectiveness of the church's mission amidst the challenges of modern society. Thus, Mark 10:45 remains a normative foundation for shaping Christian leadership oriented toward service and the glory of God.
